Yasser Al Jaidah has over a decade of vast experience in the energy industry, an expert in the fields of Maintenance, Operation Engineering, Project Management, Marketing and Venture Projects.
Yasser is the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Cool, leading the development of the company’s strategy, overseeing the responsibilities from legal compliance, policy and planning, governance, operations, financing, Mission & Vision and community relations.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool, Yasser was the General Manager and Director of South Hook LNG in the United Kingdom. He established the first liaison office for RasGas in Korea. He also held a position of Inlet Facilities Project Lead for the RasGas expansion phase, two projects, and was also seconded to ExxonMobil as a Project Execution Engineer in Houston, Texas.
Yasser is an active member of TAMUQ Deans Development Council, the International District Energy Association (IDEA), Euroheat and Power, Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA), and Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy & Sustainable Development.
During Yasser’s tenure he has transitioned the company by addressing overspending, inefficiencies both financially and operationally and led companywide policy shifting to develop robust controls, whist transforming the company’s culture. Yasser plays a critical role in achieving exponential growth for the organization locally and internationally by modernizing strategies, creating room to grow and improving systems.
In addition to Yasser’s achievements in Qatar he has successfully worked on a range of worldwide projects on four continents in countries such as Qatar, Korea, Japan, France, Norway, USA, Italy, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
Yasser is a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri, United States, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) from Project Management Institute (PMI) and has an Executive MBA from HEC-Paris in Shanghai, China.
As the Chief Operations and Services at Qatar Cool, Nahar is responsible for the operations of the four cooling plants. He brings more than 20 years of experience to Qatar Cool. His experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering technology-driven controls and operational services and solutions. Nahar is responsible for overseeing the correct procedures, people and system requirements are in place and implemented to ensure efficiency within the plants.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool Nahar worked with Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation, in diverse positions. Nahar has an excelled career in challenges of devising winning strategies, in business, with a sole aim of driving excellence & growth.
Nahar is a member of the International District Energy Association (IDEA) and APICS. Over Nahar’s tenure at Qatar Cool he has successfully led the implementation of an ERP system, enhancing power supply to the Pearl Qatar cooling plant and most recently started operations of Qatar Cool’s first LEED certified cooling plant in West bay.
Nahar holds a BE in electrical and electronic engineering, a Master degree from Qatar University and is currently pursuing an APICS (International supply chain management)..
Aysha Alshriem is a Human Resource executive with over 12 years of responsible and progressive experience in human resource management. Aysha currently manages and leads the Human resource department which entails the sub divisions of, Administration, government relations and general services. Aysha is an active member of the Senior Management Team and a Board Member of Qatar Cool’s two subsidiaries. Aysha brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Qatar Cool. Aysha’s professional experiences include executive level management, strategic management, training/employee development, resource and budget forecasting, organizational development and employee relations.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool in 2015 Aysha was the head of HR at the Standard Chartered Bank, Qatar. Before Standard Chartered Bank Aysha managed the HR department for the Qatar Financial Center Authority (QFCA) and Subsidiaries. Aysha worked for QatarGas Operating Company Ltd. Aysha Looking after the National Development, Compensation and Benefits and Business Automation areas, where Aysha also acted as the HR IT coordinator given her IT background.
Aysha received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Kuwait University and completed her MBA in Business Administration from Cass Business School, City University London.
Ahmad Shehadeh is a qualified finance professional with over 20 years of experience. Ahmad in his role as Chief Financial Officer is in control for the overall financial strategy of Qatar Cool. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects the organizations finance function including accounting, financial planning and analysis, and treasury. Further to Ahmad’s financial responsibilities he manages the procurement and stores, information technology and billing, collection and metering teams. Ahmad is an active member of the Senior Management Team and a Board Member of Qatar Cool’s two subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool in November 2005, Ahmad spent many years with auditing and consulting firms such as Ernst and Young and oversaw the auditing function whist providing financial consultations to major companies including holding, utility, power generation, industrial, hotels, financial and investment companies and institutions.
Ahmad is a member the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) & Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and The International District Energy Association (IDEA).
During Ahmad’s tenure he has secured funds, developed the financial model for the organization as well as formed financial strategies and procedures. Ahmad is an advocate for controlling overspending and cost efficiencies in all aspect of the organization, from operations to procurement. Ahmad played a critical role in the acquisition of the two subsidiaries of Qatar Cool.
Ahmad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Jordan. he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the University of Illinois, Champaign, USA.
Mohannad has over 13 years of experience in Business Development. At Qatar Cool Mohannad is responsible for generating new links, customer leads and potential business expansion opportunities as well as managing the corporate communication and customer service teams. Mohannad’s responsibilities include identifying and securing potential customers, maintaining strong relationships, communicating the organizations services and expertise and managing the organizations business expansion.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool Mohannad worked in the construction industry working on some Major projects in Doha.
Mohannad is a member the Jordan Engineer Association, International District Energy Association (IDEA), Euroheat and Power and Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA).
Mohannad has led his team to secure multiple customers over his tenure at Qatar Cool, from hotels, malls, residential and office towers to villas and retail outlets. Mohannad has utilized his marketing and communication team to further demonstrate the importance and benefits of District Cooling whilst securing new customers and leads.
Mohannad has successfully led the organization to sign with major developments in Qatar which includes the Qatar Railway metro stations. Mohannad has led the organization into winning numerous international awards for the business expansion, amongst others.
Mohannad holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Mechanical Engineering, from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He also holds an MBA from the University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom.
Christian joined Qatar District Cooling Company “Qatar Cool” as Manager Business Excellence in May 2018, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Watson has over 25 years’ experience working in Quality Assurance, Safety Management, Business Excellence and Risk Management working at all levels in multiple industries including Oil & Gas, Steel and Automotive sectors. During his career he has implemented integrated management systems in these different sectors that have been effective in managing organizational risks, shaping strategies and improving performance in Quality, Safety and Health.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool, Christian has previously held senior leadership roles in South Hook LNG Terminal Company Ltd, General Electric Oil & Gas, Tata Steel Europe and several automotive companies including Kautex Textron CVS and Robert Bosch Ltd. In which such roles provided exposure to highly regulated operational environments and context. Christian also has prior overseas responsibilities and assignments throughout Europe, North America, Middle East and North Africa and Japan.
Christian is an active member of both the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Christian has implemented integrated management systems throughout multiple sectors as per multiple international standards, and implementation of Operational Excellence and Business Excellence models, improving business processes and performance.
Christian graduated from the University of South Wales in Engineering (Mechanical) and holds Diploma’s in Quality Management and Occupational Health & Safety.
Moataz El Araki is a qualified Lawyer with over 25 years of experience. Moataz in his role as the General Counsel plays a proactive role in extending legal support across the organization to prevent legal risks and associated commercial risks, Corporate affairs and Governance affairs. Moataz is an active member of the Senior Management Team and the Secretary to the Board of Directors, Audit and Executive Committees.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool, Moataz spent 9 years with United Development Company (UDC) in Qatar, as the Corporate Counselor. Prior to which Moataz spent over 20 years in the UAE as a Group Legal Advisor and Company Secretary with three of the largest diverse groups and business conglomerates.
Through Moataz’s vast experience he has been instrumental from commencement through to completion within several acquisitions, joint venture formulations, and growing relationships with major law firms. Additionally, Moataz played a pivotal role in establishing the legal department of Al Fahim Group during his time with them.
Moataz is a member of Sudan Bar Association since 1988. And a member of number NGO’s connected with human rights, child rights and women’s rights.
Moataz holds L.L.B (Bachelor’s in Law) and alumni of University of Cairo (Khartoum Campus) in 1985.
Samir Hamzeh is a qualified Internal Audit professional with over 14 years of experience. Samir, in his role as Chief Internal Auditor, is responsible for overseeing the Internal Audit function at Qatar Cool which mainly entails providing independent risk-based objective assurance over the design efficiency and operating effectiveness of internal controls with the purpose of assisting Qatar Cool in achieving its key objectives. Samir is an active member of Qatar Cool’s Senior Management Team however to ensure independency of the Internal Audit function, Samir reports functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Qatar Cool in July 2019, Samir worked for international and diversified companies in the Middle East and North America in the fields of financial services, construction and real estate.
Samir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Certification in Control Self-Assessment from the Institute of Internal Auditors - USA of which he is a member.
